NINAS’ SKINCARE ROUTINE
Welcome back
ladies :-) Hope you all had an awesome week? As for me, I had a splendid one.
Though I had to keep my face covered from this blessed Lagos sun ( Oh dear! )
Today’s topic
*drumroll please*
BLACKHEADS vs DARKSPOTS
( every
woman’s nightmare)
LETS
BEGIN
“Blackheads are a feature of acne, a common
skin condition that involves lesions frequently referred to as pimples, spots,
zits, whiteheads or blackheads”. Now my simple definition; Blackheads are simply
the outcome of a blemish that has subsided but wasn’t treated properly. For
example, when we get pimples our most common remedy is to touch and pinch on it
(thumbs up to the pimple busters, take a blackhead on me :-) )
Dark spots however,
are not as a result of a breakout, such as pimples or rashes etc. They often
show up without warning. Dark spots can be due to sunburn or excess oil applied
on the face.
CAUSES
OF BLACKHEADS AND DARKSPOTS
·
Sunburn
·
Pimples (sometimes during menstrual cycle)
·
Excess oil
·
Wrong use or over use of product
·
Side effects when taking certain drugs
TREATMENTS
FOR ALL KINDS OF SPOT
OPTION
1 - CAROTONE B.S.C (BLACK SPOT CORRECTOR) AND B.S.C SERUM.
So many “Caros”
in Nigeria but this “Caro” works wonders! But before I forget, please do not
purchase a fake as there are so many imitations in the market. It has to be sealed when bought and should
look exactly like the one pictured above.
Now the crème
works but it works faster when you apply the serum first. Usually serums are
applied before any moisturizer; the B.S.C serum clearly states “MAXI EFFECT” meaning you will see results faster
than your regular product.
This product
takes about a week before results become visible, for some people days even,
all depending on the sensitivity of your skin. After 2-3 weeks its advisable that
you stop using the product. (do not make it your regular cream.) But I can bet
on this product, it really works and it is very cheap (nothing more than 1000
naira for both bottles)
OPTION
2 -NATURES- LIFT THE MAGIC OF SCIENCE NATURE
This product
is not for the weak in heart( and I mean it ). Apply this product at night
after cleansing and you will feel a sting .
I used this
product for only two days and it peeled away all the ‘bad belle’. (literally) I
was shocked at how quickly it worked. For instance, when I applied it on some
dark circles on my face before sleeping, by morning I scratched off the crème
before taking a shower and I could see my dead skin peeling off.
While using
this product I felt it was sort of harsh so I decided to apply my Johnson baby
moisturizer right after, to calm my skin down.
#3
CLEAR DARK SPOT CARROTTE SOAP
If you want
to go all out in fighting the war against dark spots you might as well buy a
correcting soap right? It works hand in hand with any of the creams I listed
above and leaves your face feeling smooth(that’s a plus I noticed). But that’s
about it. Creams tend to be more effective than soap so I will advise that you
pay more attention to the cream.
P.S – THESE PRODUCTS ARE FOR SPOT TREATMENT. THEREFORE, ONCE SPOTS
HAVE FADED AWAY YOU ARE ADVISED TO DISCONTINUE.
So guys,
that’s all I have for you today. If you have questions, please comment below
and I will be pleased to answer.
ON MY NEXT
POST, I WILL BE GIVING MY ‘2 CENTS’ 0N SOME PRODUCTS I PURCHASED IN NIGERIA….

DeleteYes you can! Make sure you use a cleanser before you apply it. The skin has to be very clean so it can work better and faster

ReplyDeleteAny free ones
ReplyDeleteYes, the information is free :)
DeleteThanks for the review. I have been looking for something that would help with blackheads. I hope I can get any of these in an African cosmetic store.
ReplyDeleteYes you can! If you don't find don't give up just order from Amazon :)
DeleteQuite informative. Well done. Is this exclusively for females?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not. I will have a post for men soon to come :)
DeleteThe carotome b.s.c within 21 days it will definitely like darken the spots or make changes to dark spots..?

DeleteThat occurs usually when you do not use sunscreen. Did you apply suncreeen before stepping out of the house?
DeleteDelete
My skin is peeling off 4 days after using carotone, is this normal? Plus am only using it at night, can I also apply daytime and step out into the sun? Will it react with sun?
ReplyDeleteIf it's peeling you might want to take 2 or 3 days break. But also, what soap are you using? If you are using a harsh soap combined with the cream, peeling may occur.
DeleteYes, any corrector cream should always be used with sunscreen in the day time.
Any further question please feel free to get back to me.
It must be the soap then. I only apply the cream at night and if stepping out I always use sunscreen.
DeleteI have been struggling with severe sunburn.. please what would you recommend?
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late response! Buy a good cream that comes with spf. Also, are you using any lightening cream during the day? It might be the cause
